Da "B" Ball Boys!!

Finally-- an update for you!

Well, it's been a while again. We've been very busy following our boys in basketball and lovin' every minute of it!!! It's good to be busy. It takes our minds off of our adoption process that can be all consuming if you allow it to.

We have heard "rumors" that, although the wait is uncertain at this time, it could be four years before we are united with our precious gift from God. I got really upset and discouraged about this at first. I began to feel overwhelmed and unsure of where we were heading, where God was leading us, etc. I realized that God was drawing me closer to Him. He was asking me to trust Him on this uncertain, but amazing journey. He was asking me to dig into his word and see how he'd been so faithful to SO MANY of His followers. He promises me that He will NEVER leave me nor forsake me, He will deliver me from my fears, that He is in Control, and that he wants to give me the desires of my heart! God is so good. Praise be to Him!! He has blessed me with MANY friends to help comfort me and remind me to take my cares and cast them on HIM.

Therefore, we are in it for the long haul. Wherever this journey leads us, we're on it and sticking with it. We're praying for our precious daughter that will be waiting for us. We ask you to pray for our family and for Lily. Pray for other families who are on this journey with us! Our God is a God of Miracles! He can do anything! If we must be patient, we'll TRY.

Praise to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever!!!

Santa made a pit stop???

Santa made a pit stop and delivered a present to the boys a little early. Brennan asked Santa for a Maltese puppy. Here is the newest member of our family...ZOEY! We all LOVE this sweet little puppy. She has brought us such joy and excitement while we wait for our daughter Lily. (No news on Lily. We are WAITING! We're in it for the long haul. So happy for our friends who just got their LID! We could be going to China at the same time to get our babies!)

Festival of Lights

Here are the boys in front of a HUGE Christmas Tree at the Festival of Lights.

It's December already?

I can't hardly believe it's already December. Time flies when you're having fun. Our family has been very busy following Brennan playing basketball, and trying to continue some of our favorite Holiday traditions.

When Doug was a little boy, he and his family would venture to the Conservatory, and to see the CG&E train display. We have started this tradition with our own family as well. We were able to go this past Sat. and had the BEST family day! We also went to The Cincy Zoo and enjoyed the Festival of Lights the day after Thanksgiving. The Polar express 4d presentation was a lot of fun. The boys enjoyed a man who created an ice sculpture. WOW. What a talent to make a block of ice look like a masterpiece!

All I can say is that I feel INCREDIBLY blessed!! We have so very much to be thankful for.

Wishing you and yours a Blessed Christmas remembering the true meaning of this season.
