One year ago...GOTCHA Lola Joy!!

I've been teary-eyed and emotional all day...remembering one year ago today!!! Overcome with emotion and humbled by our Great God!!

Our first family of 3 photo...we were greatly missing our boys!
We are so overwhelmed today with great emotion of THANKSGIVING. One year ago today, with great anticipation, Doug and I were united with our daughter Lola Joy. Remembering back to all of the emotions we felt that day...and reflecting on the journey of this past year has brought me to my knees. Words truly cannot express what our family has experienced over the past year. We experienced a miracle...our hearts doubled in size, our eyes were opened, and we can see the face of Jesus looking at our daughter. Lola Joy is just that...a true JOY. Here's a little bit about our precious treasure and some of her favorite sayings and things... Enjoy!!
Lola Joy LOVES shoes! She talks about them from the time she gets up in the morning til the time she goes to bed at night...NO KIDDING!! She will ask you about yours and gladly show hers off! (That's my girl!!)
Lola's new word is PILLOW and we LOVE hearing her say it!!!
She loves to have all of her favorite people at the same place at the same time.
Lola loves to sing a song called peanut..aka..MEANUT... Everyone in the room MUST sing it and do the motions, or she'll let you know about it! And we have to do it a million times! (Thanks Aunt Neana!)
Followed by MEANUT she will request BIDER! Itsy Bitsy Spider of course..motions included!
If you sneeze, she will say "bless you!" (We sneeze a lot around our house just to hear her say it! Too cute!!!)
When we are in church..she will yell...MAMEN! (Amen)
Lola LOVES her Bubbas and LOVES to entertain them and be entertained by them!
She calls her Daddy , "NAAAAANNNNNYY" (wrapped already!)
Lola is my dancing queen!
This girl TALKS ALL DAY LONG!
She loves to splash in the bathtub and pool!
She loves to pretend to talk on her cell!
Babydolls are a favorite as well as tea parties and books! She turns around and walks backwards and sits in your lap with the book of her choice.
When we are outside of a restaurant, we will find a bush, tree, or flowers and go and stand in front of it and say CHEESE!! (Oh she's rotten!)
Lola Joy,
You have brought so much JOY to our lives. What would we do without you, baby girl? As your favorite book says...
Your my punkin' Wunkin'
My peaches and my pie
my bread and butter peanut butter
apple of my eye!!!!!!
You're everything that's wonderful
You're all of the above,
But most of all what you are is...
God's SWEETEST gift of LOVE!!
WE LOVE YOU BABY JOY!!!!!!

THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS UNDESCRIBABLE GIFT!!!!!!!
BLESSINGS,
Julie
ps.

Compassion for Achile

I just received an email from Compassion International and this little guy needs our help!
Achile is an 8 year-old little boy in Burkina Faso with a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Because of Achile's heart condition, he has been in pain for 5 years and hasn't been able to attend school regularly and receive the full benefit of sponsorships through Compassion International. Compassion International has provided medical care for Achile for the last 2 years at the National Teaching Hospital Yalgado Ouedraogdo in Burkina Faso in western Africa. However, doctors there now believe his condition requires urgent heart surgery, which is not available in Burkina Faso. Achile will be transported to a specialized hospital in India for a lifesaving operation that will cost an estimated $20,449. You can help this sweet little boy by donating at this site.. http://compassion.com/Achile. Please keep him in your prayers!!

Blessings,
