Spring Break and Easter

Lola Joy...Explorer Extraodinaire!

Okay, little britches is getting into EVERYTHING! And...well...it's just adorable!! I know if I haven't heard her talking for a couple of minutes, I'd better go and see what she's into. Some of her favorite things to "get into" are.. the dog's water and food bowls. (Apparently dog food is quite tasty) We have a large plant and she loves getting fistfuls of dirt and throwing it on the floor. She enjoys taking books off of the book shelf, and yes, she has been known to splash the water in the potty a time or two~ YUCK! Here are just a couple of places I've "caught her in the act".

My hubby made our boys a rocky horse for their first birthday. He has been working on this ...he still has some finishing touches to do, but isn't it lovely? This was his idea...and HE DESIGNED it and made the entire thing himself. These gifts are so special. Wow! What a man! Love you Daddy! Here she is just gettin' started.

She just experimented a little... tasted a little...but she really wasn't sure. We tried to get her to really get into it, but my dainty girl didn't like gettin' her hands too dirty. (I'm sure that will change. It's baseball season and from the way it sounds, we'll be at the ball field ALL SUMMER!! I am sure she'll get over being dirty!)Lola Joy enjoyed EVERY second of the special people that were at her party and the gifts she received. Thanks to everyone who made this day soooo special.

I cannot believe you are TEN..DOUBLE DIGITS! Just typing that gives me a huge GULP in my throat and instantly brings me to tears. Ugh! Where has the time gone? You are one amazing kid! You are an amazing big brother...being a good example for the little eyes watching you. Cheering on your little brother and teaching him all of your moves. Loving on your baby sis, and playing such an active role in their lives. You are a great leader and role model. Just simply an upstanding young man. You are so athletic. You were active in my tummy and learned to RUN instead of walking...at 7 months old, mind you!! You are so smart. Everyone has always referred to you as a little man. Your kind and compassionate heart melts me. I love how you step into the "man of the house" role when Daddy has to work. We are so thankful to God for you and blessed by your presence each and every day!
